Last Summer I had an Internship at CPTV in Hartford and I was one of the few Media Lab Interns. We had the opportunity to work on the story of the Rockcats Baseball Team from New Britain, CT. We heard that they were moving down to Hartford and most of the teams favorite fans were outraged and so were the people of Hartford.

Below is the link of the story that I put together:

In April 2015, I completed a project in my Senior Photography Thesis Class at Moore College of Art and Design. I started a project introducing my sister as the main image. With a composed audio track of my grandma talking about my Mom’s pregnancy. I used the image and audio to cope with this information of being a twin and losing one at birth. In the audio it explains a part of the image that I went for, the image represents what my sister would look like today if she was my age and alive. Listen to the audio track below.

In March 2015, I completed a project in my Senior Electronic Media Projects Class at Moore College of Art and Design. I started a project introducing my sisters teddy bear in two short videos. With a composed audio track of me saying why I hate teddy bears and why I love teddy bears. I used these videos to cope with this information of being a twin and losing one at birth. I love the whole idea of this project. I loved the creepiness vibe it gives off the fact that two videos are playing at once but both audio tracks sync up giving you the feeling that either me or my twin sister is talking about which teddy bear we hate/love. Overall I am very pleased with how these videos came out.

In December 2014, I completed a small series in my Senior Studio Photography Class at Moore College of Art and Design. I started another project introducing the silhouette figure to represent my twin sister that I lost at birth and never got to meet. Through that I used my photography to cope with this information. I used long exposure and photographed at night. This time in Philadelphia. There are light streaks from cars, lights, traffic lights etc. I liked how this project came to be about and look together as a whole. But I was still missing the actual feeling that this represented my sister.

In November 2014, I completed a small series in my Senior Studio Photography Class at Moore College of Art and Design. I started another project introducing the ghostly figure to represent my twin sister that I lost at birth and never got to meet. Through that I used my photography to cope with this information. I used long exposure and photographed at night to give it a more creepy, ghostly feeling. I liked how they came out but I didn’t like the vibe or comments I was getting from them. So I started thinking of other ways to photo grief, loss and death.

In April 2014, I completed a project in my Junior Total Experience Photography Class at Moore College of Art and Design. I started a project introducing the shadow as my twin sister that I lost at birth and never got to meet. Through that I used my photography to cope with this information. I used infrared photography for this project because the shadows were the main focus and emphasis I was getting at. Infrared Photography is photography with an emulsion that is sensitive to infrared light, enabling it to be used in misty weather, in darkened interiors, or at night. This project to me turned out to be successful but I still wanted something a little bit more.
